Student Stories

At Wright Elementary, we are proud to celebrate the achievements, leadership, and growth of our students. The following highlights reflect the hard work, character, and commitment of our Wright learners.

Leadership & Character

Judah Wing (5th Grade) is a compassionate and inclusive advocate and a joyful presence who uplifts everyone around him. Judah exemplifies what it means to be a Wright Kitty Hawk through his kindness, leadership, and care for others.

ELL Program Completion

We celebrated 11 students who received their Certificates of Completion and officially graduated from the ELL program. Their perseverance, growth, and hard work throughout their language learning journey are truly worth celebrating.

Student Leadership Opportunities

Asher (5th Grade) earned the opportunity to serve as “Principal for the Day” after reading the most minutes during our Read-a-Thon. His dedication to reading is a wonderful example of the power of consistent effort.

Danielle (5th Grade) was recognized during the March Board of Education meeting student spotlight for her hard work, dedication, and commitment to practicing kindness.

Student Safety Leaders

Several Wright students were recognized for the 2026 CRCSD Student Safety Leader Award, including Scott, Braedon, June, Annabella, and Asher. These students demonstrated leadership in promoting safety, responsibility, and respect throughout our school community.

Vincent (2nd Grade) also served as “Principal for the Day” in the fall after raising the most money during our Walk-a-Thon. His enthusiasm and commitment helped support important school wide initiatives while modeling leadership and school spirit.
